Denver Airports From Stapleton to DIA delivers an entertaining account and perspective on the history of Denver and Colorado aviation. The images bring back not only the longing for the good olde days of aviation, but the sadness and shock of some of aviation's largest disasters. It shows the progression of the airport but also of the airlines that have thrived and failed over the decades. I would recommend this book to any aviation enthusiast who enjoys history.

Here's a look at the history of Denver aviation told through some great photos and insightful captions. From Denver's first aircraft to 60+ million passengers a year at Denver International Airport, this easy read gives some great insight into how DEN became the 5th busiest airport in the country.

A wonderful telling of the history of Colorado airports. Written by the best in the industry, a must have!

What an incredible history the Denver airport system has as shown in this book!

As a history buff and lover of Colorado, this visual history of Denver's airports is AMAZING! The stories are super fun, the pics are rare finds and the trip down memory lane of flying into Stapleton was great fun. A must have for anyone who loves history, airports and Colorado.

BLOOD ROSE REBELLION is gorgeously written, imaginative, and rich with detail. It acquaints readers with a part of history and a people not often written about in young adult literature. It seamlessly weaves in a powerful and influential magical society. And it introduces characters who are interesting and different and brave and likable and those who are vile, underhanded, dangerous, and untrustworthy. It is an absorbing and fascinating and positively exhilarating read and the start to a series that looks to be amazing.Anna Arden didn’t mean to be such a destructive influence or such a disappointment to her family. She wanted to be good, to fit into Luminate society, to cast spells and wield magic, to debut, to have a future. But she didn’t have the ability to control magic and she just couldn’t seem to follow the rules, do as she was told, accept her fate. Not staying under the radar cost her everything – the man she thought she loved, a place in England with her family, and any hope of marrying into Luminate society. Attracting the attention of the elite Circle wouldn’t have been a bad thing had she had magical abilities. But her negative effect on magic drew their suspicion.Forced to escape with her grandmother to Hungary, a place she was unfamiliar with, to live with relatives she didn’t know and who spoke a language she couldn’t understand, seemed like the end of the world. But a Romani secret, a handsome boy named Gábor, a growing resistance to the status quo, and the potential to make a difference, gave Anna hope that maybe this wasn’t the end, but rather a beginning.Rosalyn Eves did a masterful job of fitting her story, her characters, her society into a real-world historical setting. She captured the revolutionary spirit of the time in Hungary and the discontent with the ruling Hapsburgs and used both to help ignite her rebellion, give purpose to her characters, and to make her story that much more intriguing. The author gave Anna a unique ability, kept it a secret from both her characters and her readers, and teased its possibilities until nearer the story’s end, ensuring a captivating read. She laid the foundation for a sequel with even more dangers, even more unrest, even more battles, and the potential for more romance. And she gave readers an epilogue that is certain to pique their curiosity.BLOOD ROSE REBELLION is an extraordinary and spellbinding read. If you’re looking for a story that is epic, that blends fantasy with history, and that immerses you into the world Rosalyn Eves imagined so completely you’ll forget where and when you are, you will not want to miss this book and series.

I choose 3 stars because this book had so much potential, but fell flat in some areas. First, what I liked about the book was the original concept with the integration of myths and fairy tales. I particularly enjoyed the Hungarian aspect and the idea of choice. These were powerful and made the book different and interesting. What I did not like was the romance. It fell flat time after time and seemed forced and honestly pointless and stupid. Anna lets anyone kiss her and they have little to no reason for doing so. I feel that the author was trying to pull people in with the typical "love" card, but I wish she would have used the family or friendship card more and used those to evoke more depth and emotion. The romantic scenes seemed juvenile and shallow. I would have liked to know more about her family and wish that there was more depth there instead of ballroom scenes. Overall good book, but could have bee better.

Stunning story telling, world building, magic - this book will let new readers fall in love with Hungary, history, and the multi-layered rebellion crafted around a girl trying to determine what her role is in the world.

I loved this. It's a historical YA fantasy, set in a time and place that I don't think we see enough stories from. We see a ton about the Austro-Hungarian empire in Marie Antoinette's day, for obvious reasons, and we see a lot of it just prior to WWI, again for obvious reasons. But the intervening years seem like a black hole in my memory and this book was a delightful light shining on them. Lots of the events and the minor characters are actually real, but the fantastical story of a continent-wide conspiracy theory regarding the control of magic in the aristocracy is absolutely delightful.

I liked this book for the most part, but it was very complicated to follow and some parts were not interesting so it didn't keep my attention enough. Therefore, I just didn't have the patience to follow this complex storyline. I did enjoy the character development of Anna. In the beginning she's spoiled and a bit annoying but you really see her go on a journey and grow up.

Blood Rose Rebellion is undoubtedly a good story, with lots of twists and turns. However, it didn't always hold my attention, probably because I found parts of it confusing. Many aspects of the rules/hidden world of the Binding and the magical world aren't clear. In defense of the story, I admit that it took me awhile to read. Perhaps if I had finished it quickly, the confusion wouldn't have been an issue. For anyone with a love of fantasy and magic, it's a great read!

Great read! I really couldn't put it down, and stayed up reading/listening a little (or a lot) later than I should have on more than one occasion. I might classify it as a revolutionary period piece of adventurous, romantic, magical, historical-fiction fantasy. Lol. In other words, it combined pretty much everything into one very enjoyable read.I recommend the audible version as well as the kindle/print versions because the narrator does a great job of pronouncing the words in German and Hungarian. She gives the characters accents too.I very much look forward to the next book!

This is beautifully written and sucks the reader in from the very beginning. Part way through, however, the main character really frustrated me (She was making the wrong decision and she knew she was.) and I almost put it down. Don't put it down. Finish it. The author made it all work out in the end. Although the book starts out in England, it moves quickly to a much more unique setting--Hungary. If you like beautiful prose, strong characters, and a messy but satisfying ending (like real life), give it a go.

About the Author

Tim Blight fell in love with Pakistan on its first visit in 2006. Since then it has been a roller-coaster ride of perilous mountain roads, getting caught up in religious processions in crowded streets, learning a lesson about the effects of eating spicy street food, standing awestruck by beautiful architecture and meeting more than a few friends for life. Since his first visit, Tim has visited Pakistan ten times, criss-crossing the country and visiting almost every (accessible) corner of the land. He is the author of Pakistan Traveller, a project of his website UrbanDuniya. He has also authored Recipes for Ramadan, a collection of recipes from around the world, and contributed to an eBook about Creative Urbanism in Melbourne, authored by Agness Walewinder of eTramping.com.

I purchased the full color version of this book from Tim Blight's website. I had not heard of Tim Blight until a few days ago when I read his column in the Dawn newspaper. I was very impressed with the amount of research he had conducted in that particular column about Sialkot, a city in Pakistan that most foreigners do not even bother visiting. Tim was able to find hidden gems even in such a mediocre city. Once I read his other columns I became his fan. Tim's guide book puts Lonely Planet or other guide books about Pakistan to shame, its mostly because those books or their writers have a bias, don't bother to research, visit or update and don't really think much of the country. Tim Blight genuinely loves the country and the quality of his research clearly shows in this book. In a nutshell, Pakistan as a country is not missing out not having ample foreign tourists, its the foreign tourists who are missing out not visiting Pakistan by traveling to other countries half as attractive and paying ten times as much. Tim's message to those is do not listen to your biased media, do your own research/ word of mouth. Tim's book is a great tool moving forward in this direction.

There are not many current guidebooks for Pakistan, and the Lonely Planet is thirteen years out of date. Which is a shame as the country is a fascinating place to visit.'Pakistan Traveller' is clearly the most comprehensive guide to the country available today. Some of the Afghan border areas are not covered (but then again they should not be on your travel plans at this time) but the most popular areas are covered in detail. Tim's love of the country comes through clearly in his writing, while the up-to-date information on food, accommodation, and sights is vital for any traveller to this incredible country. The Karakorum Highway is particularly covered in great detail, and if you are planning on one of the more unusual road trips in the world on the KKR you should not leave home without it. Five Stars.

This guide is everything a traveler might need for visiting Pakistan. It's incredibly comprehensive compared to other information available on the internet, and more importantly, is far more up-to-date than any other published guides out there.
